THE STORY OF MAZI

At Mazi, we believe food is one of life’s most powerful connectors. It brings people together, tells stories without words, and creates moments that linger long after the last bite. For me, food has always been about more than just nourishment — it’s about community, comfort, and connection.

After spending 20 years proudly serving the Cincinnati Fire Department, I decided it was time to bring a different kind of service to the table — one rooted in hospitality, culture, and flavor. That’s when Mazi was born.

The name “Mazi” means “together” in Greek, and it reflects everything this place stands for. It’s also a tribute to my best friend Yorgos, whose stories, love for food, and friendship have shaped the heart of our menu.

Mazi is a celebration of those moments — every dish on our menu is made with care, using fresh ingredients and chef-driven techniques. Whether you're digging into our signature schug-drizzled bowls or grabbing something quick at the food hall, you're part of something personal here.

And because giving back is part of who we are, a portion of our proceeds supports dachshund rescues — a small way of honoring the loyal, loving energy that’s shaped my life.
